Freight fraud
A load handed to the wrong truck. A broker who resells your freight. An email that changes a supplier’s bank account. Fraudsters count on speed and trust. We look for who did what, and we document it.
- Warning signs
- Unknown carrier who accepts anything, changing contact details, inconsistent documents, urgent payment request.
- Territory
- Québec. Ontario and Canada–U.S. corridors in collaboration with locally licensed partners.
- Deliverable
- Investigation report usable as evidence, identities and flows documented.
Situations we handle
Fake carrier
Fictitious pickup: a truck shows up in the name of a legitimate carrier and leaves with the load.
Double brokering
A broker or carrier resells the load to a third party without consent. The freight vanishes or payment never arrives.
Identity theft
Fraudulent use of a real company’s Québec business number (NEQ), SAAQ or MC/DOT numbers to get loads.
Load diversion
Goods delivered to another address than planned, with or without inside help, then resold.
Document fraud
Forged bills of lading, proofs of delivery or invoices to hide a loss or bill a fake service.
Payment fraud
A compromised email announces new bank details. We trace the source and document the fraud.
Prevention: check before you hand over
Check carriers and brokers before giving them a load: that is the purpose of our Carrier vetting service.

Preserving emails, headers, shipping documents, calls and recordings before they disappear.
- 02
Identity checks
Public registries (business registry, NEQ), SAAQ and CTQ registrations, MC/DOT numbers, real addresses, links between companies.
- 03
Reconstructing the flows
Timeline of exchanges, the load and payments to establish where the fraud occurred.
- 04
Report and next steps
Report usable as evidence, delivered to your insurer, your lawyers or the police.

Identities, documents and payment flows established by an independent third party.
Frequently asked questions
The load left with a fake carrier. What now?
Call us right away and file a police report. Keep every exchange, document and recording: they are often the only trace of the identity used.
Can you recover a payment sent to the wrong account?
We cannot promise any recovery. We look for the source of the fraud. We document the facts for your bank, your insurer and the authorities. They are the ones who hold the remedies.
How do we stop it from happening again?
By checking carriers and brokers before handing them a load. Our Carrier vetting service offers one-time checks or a monthly plan.
